Melrose Run For Women A unique way to celebrate Mother's Day, the Melrose Running Club invites you to participate in the the Fitzgerald Physical Therapy Associates Melrose Run For Women on Sunday, May 11th, 2025. This family event honoring mothers is a Melrose Mother's Day tradition drawing hundreds of female athletes. The festivities kick off with a series of kids races followed by the main event: a 3.5 mile run/walk which winds through the scenic and peaceful Swains Pond section of the city. The race finishes up with children handing out flowers, a bounty of baked goods and coffee, music, and awards. Awards are given to the top finishers, the first mother and grandmother to finish, and best mother/daughter team finishers. Awards are also given to top age group finishers. Proceeds for the race are donated to the Melrose Alliance Against Violence. MAAV is a domestic violence prevention and education organization in Melrose. Since the race's inception in 1998 the Melrose Running Club has donated over $313,000 to MAAV. This race is truly a celebration of women of all ages and abilities, you won’t want to miss it. Be sure to invite your mother, sisters, daughters, and friends!

Awards:	Age Groups First Mother • First Grandmother • First Great Grandmother Fastest Mother/Daughter Pair • Fastest Mother/Son Pair
Teams:	1 Mother + Daughter(s), up to 5 runners per team. Mother and Daughter must register on-line as a team. Pre-race online registration only, no race day entry for teams.
T Shirts:	T Shirts are guaranteed for the first 400 registrants.
Walkers:	Walkers welcome. Please start at back of pack.
Strollers:	Participants with jogging strollers should start at the back of the pack. Please keep to the far left and alert runners when passing.
Dogs:	For the safety of runners and spectators, dogs (with the exception of assistive service dogs) are not permitted to participate in this event.
Proceeds:	A portion of your entry fee will be donated to the Melrose Alliance Against Violence.
